Ain’t no denying it, whether you’re getting ready to say “happy birthday Jesus” or not, venturing into most any retail establishment will only serve to confirm one thing: Dave the Monkey is THE must have accessory this year.

At Colliderscope we’re honouring the Yule Tide period by totally disregarding it from a musical point of view and instead serving up a veritable feast of meaty rollers that, just like your annual turkey (RIP Bernard Matthews), you can enjoy again and again.

To that end, I’d love it if you could join me this coming Saturday for your monthly exhibition of bass-heavy business on Space Invader Radio.  As ever, I’ll be flicking back and forth through the calendar, spinning from the bleeding and, well, scabby edges of the spectrum.  We’ve got hip hop from Damu The Fudgemunk, a smooth d’n’b remix from Utah Jazz, nice downtempo rollings from Ewan Hoozami and a scorching Deep Purple re-edit from The Two Mamarrachos.  But that’s just a taster, tune in for much more including a few of my top picks from 2010.  And let’s not forget the sublime heaviness of the obligatory dubstep section…

Miaow mix this month comes from me old china, Dan Rogers, who goes by 1dan when making the tuneage. In a bit of a departure from his usual style (which is what we like on Colliderscope) Dan spins us 45mins of smooth-as-a-dark-chocolate-terry’s-chocolate-orange bass music.  Don’t miss it.
