Does a lot of great work for charity, doesn’t like to talk about it

Great mates, this year is the 40th anniversary of Radio Hillingdon and by way of a celebration fundraiser, we’re doing a 100 hour broadcast marathon.

We aim to raise a bit of cash to help keep the station on the air (despite the fact that we’re a charity, it costs a helluva lot more than you might think, mainly thanks to licensing - cheers PRS!) - hopefully for another 40 years.  Perhaps we’ll be broadcasting from space by then.  But it’s not just about us, we’ll be donating some of the proceeds to the Hillingdon Hospital Cherubs Appeal too.

My part in all of this will be spending the final 25 hours of the marathon cooped up in a small studio with two old boys called John and Colin who still think The Beatles are the freshest thing in music and are probably big Toto fans too.  I know what you’re thinking…this could well be the broadcast event of the century!

The marathon starts on Friday 17th of September and concludes Tuesday 21st. I’d be really, really grateful if you could tune in for a bit and have a listen to the guys and I attempting to bridge the generational chasm that divides us, kind of like Big Brother but on the radio and minus the free booze. But what would be even better is if you could sponsor me too.

It’s easy - take a look at my donation page and pledge as much as you like. A thousand thank yous in anticipation.

Drop me a line if you’ve got any questions, or any ideas on how in the wide, wide world of sports we can fill 25 hours of airtime…mog@djmog.co.uk
