Colliderscope January 2011 - The Rewind

Let me be probably not the first, but definitely one of the most sincere to wish you all a very happy new year! Do hope you had a very merry VAT increase.

This Saturday join me as we reminisce over last year’s miaow mixes - you know, the part of the show where I say very little and (usually) someone else has a go on the wheels.

After deliberating long and hard I’ve chosen three of the best miaows from 2010: from back in July the eminent Dr Q, another from electro maestro Cormjah which aired in November, and finally from the Colliderscope Summer Barby…I humbly offer something from yours truly.

Normal service will be restored next month - see you this Saturday from 10pm!

As always, a full track listing will be made available and you can always hit me up here: mog@djmog.co.uk for more info - peace!

Coliderscope 13/11/2010 THIS SATURDAY FROM 10PM

Howyerdiddlin.

Another four weeks have rolled off the calendar and it’s time to unleash the awsome power of the bassline onto your Saturday night via the considerable bandwidth available at Space Invader Radio.

Tune in from 10pm THIS Saturday for the usual glorious, noisy mess, mixed in an approximate manner by moi, with some talking in between.

This month I’m beside myself with excitement to welcome another newcomer to the show, occasional Space Invader and full time night nurse and cat rescuer, Cormjah (as in Jah Rastafari, long story) who has gone above and beyond to deliver this month’s Miaow Mix.

I’ve heard the mix, I liked it, I EVEN BLOODY LOVED IT. But I was at a loss to describe it, so here’s what to expect from our forty minutes of sonorousness as dictated by the man himself:

Cormjah spits out a mix grown the original filthy funk roots of Electro.
Taking in some well known and not so well known masters of dirty,
machine-driven technosoul.

Blimey, that Cormjah’s got a purty mouth.

As ever, hit me up at djmog.co.uk for more info or feedback, it’ll be great to hear from you (I’m ok for wanger enlargement pills though, seriously).

Be excellent to one another, see you Sat.

PS. Should you find yourself laid up in hospital and get bored of the telly, you can hear me every Thursday from 10pm-12am on the Radio Hillingdon late show. Failing an in-patient stay, and if you were a fan of British Telecom’s “Dial-a-Disc” back in the 80s, listen to the station online. I can particularly recommend Ray Oxley’s Comedy Hour.
