Colliderscope 12th November 2011 - with Freddy Fresh

Hello cheeky face, missed you last month. Sorry I wasn’t here for the October show, it was high time for some much needed Colliderscope R&R with the rest of the GI’s over there on Vung Tau beach. That might have been a dream as a result of re-reading Michael Herr’s seminal Dispatches, though. In any event I wasn’t here, so by way of recompense I humbly lay before you an absolute humdinger of a Colliderscope for November.

Sandwiched between the first and third chunks of the show (which, incidentally, are stuffed from asshole to elbow with fine bassline) and looking fit as a fiddle despite the crush is none other than Freddy Fresh!

I’ve been feeling the output from Fresh ever since the Drum Lesson EP came out back in ‘98, but your boy had been hitting his stride musically well before then. There’s precious few DJs/producers on the scene with the kind of heritage brought forth by the Fresh. And even less who make music like he does - with an organic, hands on, whacked-out leftfield feel that sounds like it’s been made rather than just produced.  But hey, you were already sold a paragraph back, right?

As usual, either side of our guest I’ll be hammering the tracks together whether they wanna go or not, to make a seemless two hours of Saturday night rug-cuttin’ sweetness.  Look out for a behemoth of a tune from Pretty Lights Music signing, Supervision, otherwise known as Richard Blake Hansen. Then there’s an epic breaks stick stack stonker from Sonic Funk going by G Iz For Guitar, which you must not miss. Too much good stuff to mention, just make sure you’re there, 10pm (GMT) sharp, Space Invader Radio this Saturday (12/11/2011).

As usual, track list and listen again stuff right here on Sunday. Subscribe to Colliderscope on itunes by clicking on the thingy, right.

See you Saturday, lover.
